Timothy P. Davoren, PT, ATC, Director Physical Therapy and Performance Centers
Tim is the Director of OA Physical Therapy Center and clinician at the Physical Therapy Center clinic. He obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Science from UNE in 1993, is a licensed Physical Therapist and Certified Athletic Trainer. He has 18+ years experience in sports medicine and orthopedics, as well as athletic training for high-school, college, and semi-pro sports. Tim specializes in athletic backs, knees and shoulders, and sub specializes in treatment of swimmers, runners, and cyclists. He has a focused interest in biomechanics of cyclists and proper bike fit. Tim is F.I.S.T Certified by Slowtwitch.com for Tri-bike fitting and has been using his cycling background and physical therapy knowledge with cyclists for over 15 years.
Tim has extensive training and education in manual, hands-on therapy through Mulligan, McKenzie, McConnell and others for mobilization and myofascial release. He has a strong background in biomechanics and sport specific strengthening for athletes of all sports and ability levels. He integrates his hands-on skills with focused sport-specific functional training and applied biomechanics to achieve treatment goals. He provides BikeFit analysis to patients and to local cyclists/triathletes.
Tim believes firmly in the value of continuing education for his skill development as well as for the knowledge base of all therapists at OAPT Centers. Since 2000 he has been the Physical Therapy Instructor in the OA/Maine Medical Center Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship Training Program.
Tim and his wife Nikki live in Yarmouth with their daughters Kadin and Aslin and faithful Vizsla Ruger. He is an avid outdoorsman and multi-sport athlete.
