Jaben received his master’s degree in physical therapy from the University of New Mexico in 2007 and his doctorate from Texas Tech University in 2015. Born and raised in Maine, Jaben left for the Southwest in 1993 after receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Vermont. Jaben then lived, worked, and played in the beautiful Southwest until 2013 when he returned to Maine to be closer to his family and start a family of his own. Jaben and his wife Veronica live in Bath, Maine, where they enjoy outdoor activities. Jaben worked at a small, private outpatient sports medicine clinic in Santa Fe, New Mexico for two years before moving to Albuquerque where he worked for New Mexico Orthopaedics, the state’s largest orthopaedic practice, for four years.
As a former athlete who has experienced countless injuries and recoveries, Jaben is able to relate to the injured athlete and uses his passion for sports, exercise, and rehabilitation to create individualized programs for his patients. Jaben uses a combination of hands on manual therapy, expert instruction in rehabilitation exercises, and a strong emphasis on patient education to create programs that help move the patient from injury back to their prior level of function.
